1. With the help of generous friends and family members, NKLNSF raised $33,000 from North America by through a Lukose Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Chicago and a fund raising dinner in New York. From this amount, $30,000 has been deposited as a fixed amount in Kerala and $3000 was kept at the account in USA. The interest obtained from the fixed amount in Kerala (About Rs 75,000/-) is being used for humanitarian and sports development activities in Kerala every year.The amount saved in USA is being used for miscellaneous expenses of the foundation in North America and India such as Volleyball Tournaments, cash awards/trophies to winning teams etc. Most of the humanitarian deeds and sports talent developmental activities are being done at Kerala as you can see below
1) Foundation has been giving financial aid to needy students from 2004 in association with Community Aid and Sponsorship Program (aka CASP), a National NGO committed to the cause of children. CASP, along with the local committee of NKLNSF and the vicar of Karimkunnam church helps in identifying the most deserving students that need financial help.
a) Educational assistance given to 15 deserving poor children in 2004.
b) 15 deserving students from 5th and 6th grade were selected and sponsored their education up to Higher Secondary in December 2004
c) 10 more deserving students from 5th and 6th grade were selected and sponsored in their education up to Higher Secondary in 2005 making the total number of students to 25.
d) 25 students continued to receive financial help in 2006
e) This program is being continued in 2007
2) Rs 100,000/- was donated towards the Tsunami relief fund through Asianet on February 8th, 2005.
3) 2 houses were constructed and donated to Mr. Shaji Kanathil and Mr. Soman Varakil In Karimkunnam in 2005
4) One Volleyball court was built and donated to Ponnamthanam School in Karimkunnam in 2007
5) Volleyball coaching camps are held periodically in Karimkunnam by Biju Naduparambil(Former Kerala state player) to encourage and nurture young and talented Volleyball players in Kerala
6) All India Volley ball tournament is being held every 2 years in Karimkunnam to relive the memories of late Lukachen, who was an excellent player himself.
7) The 3rd Annual N.K. Lukose Volleyball Tournament:-

The 3rd N.K.Lukose All India Volleyball tournament was organized by N.K.Lukose sports foundation from January 7th to 13th, 2008. The tournament was conducted in Karimkunnam which is the birthplace of Lukachen. Indian Navy, Indian customs, Cochin Refinery, Muthoot Group, KSEB, Kerala police, Cochin port trust, Travancore Titanium were the prominent teams that participated in this tournament. Kerala Volleyball association formally conducted the tournament. The final challenge was between, COCHIN REFINERY & INDIAN NAVY. Cochin refinery took the first place. On the women’s, KSEB & WESTERN RAILWAY were the two final teams. KSEB took the first place. It was a very competitive match.

We are very proud to say that the welfare and humanitarian activities are continuing with the generous and kind support from late Lukachen's friends and family. We also express our whole hearted support to the annual Lukose Memorial Volleyball Tournaments organized in North America by various sports clubs and well- wishers in America.
